Steps:

  1. Press the Reset Button: If your shelving unit is not heating up, press the reset button through the hole at the back of the unit.
  2. Turn Off the Freeze Dryer: For safety reasons, make sure that your freeze dryer is turned off before proceeding.
  3. Disconnect the Shelving Rack: Disconnect your shelving rack. This can be left inside the freeze dryer.
  4. Remove the Cover Plate: Use a Phillips Screwdriver or a 1/8 Allen Wrench to remove the four screws and take off the cover plate.
  5. Check the Wiring: Ensure that both the Spade connectors are fully connected to your reset button and that the wires that connect within the terminal block are fully inserted.
  6. Press the Reset Button Again: Give the reset button another press to ensure that it’s been clicked.
  7. Replace the Cover Plate: Put the cover plate back on, align it correctly, and tighten the screws using the Phillips screwdriver.
  8. Reconnect the Shelving Unit: Connect your shelving unit back together and slide it back into your freeze dryer.
  9. Retest the Heat: Turn on the freeze dryer and retest the heat to check if the shelving unit is heating up efficiently now.
