This video explains how to access and correct a common issue with a piece of equipment where the pins, located underneath a red cap, can sometimes become unseated, leading to errors.
Tools needed:
- Tweezers or a similar tool to pry open the cap (keys are also mentioned as an alternative)
Steps
- Accessing the pins: Use the tweezers to gently pry up the little red cap covering the pins. It should snap up easily, allowing you to remove it and expose the barrel connectors beneath.
- Inspect the seating of the barrel connectors: Examine the four barrel connectors to ensure they are seated flat against the housing. If they are correctly seated, they should all be at the same level.
- Re-seating a dislodged connector: If you find a barrel connector that has been pressed down, gently push on the wire leading to it. This action should click the connector back into its proper place.
Note: The goal is to ensure all connectors are properly seated since a dislodged connector can cause errors in the functioning of the equipment. The video shows the ease of this process and the clear auditory confirmation (the click) when the connector is back in place.
