What does SSR mode mean?

What Does “SSR Mode” Mean on Your Freeze Dryer?

You may see a message or setting called “SSR Mode” on some scientific freeze dryer software versions. Here’s what it means for your machine:

What is SSR Mode?

  • SSR Mode is a special setting that changes how your freeze dryer controls heat and drying speed.

What Happens When SSR Mode is On?

  • When you turn SSR Mode On, your machine will dry your product faster. This is similar to how our Pro freeze dryers work. The heat is carefully controlled to keep the pressure steady for continuous drying.

What Happens When SSR Mode is Off?

  • When SSR Mode is Off, your machine will dry at the standard speed, just like our Classic freeze dryers. The heat is controlled by two pressure points for a more traditional drying process.

Important: If You Don’t Have a Scientific Freeze Dryer

  • If you did not purchase a Scientific freeze dryer and you see an SSR Mode message, do not use your machine with SSR Mode enabled.
