If your freeze dryer isn't freezing the contents, please follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:
- Ensure that the freeze dryer is plugged in and the power switch is turned on.
- Check that the door is properly sealed and that the gasket is clean and free from any obstructions.
- Perform a freeze test:
- Turn on your machine and navigate to the functional testing screen by touching the leaf icon in the top left corner of the home screen.
- On the functional testing screen, locate the toggle switch labeled "Freeze" and turn it on.
- Let the refrigeration system run for about 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, check if you can hear the refrigeration system turn on and start running.
- If you hear the refrigeration system running, it indicates that the system is functioning properly.
- If you don't hear the refrigeration system running or if it only runs momentarily, it may indicate an issue with the freezing process.
