What should I do when the screen says ‘Process Complete’?

Your Batch is Complete

You’ve reached the Process Complete stage—your batch has finished successfully.

What to Do Next

  • Your food is ready for removal, testing, and packaging.

To check if your food is fully dry:

    1. Open the drain valve and let the system fully repressurize before opening the door.
    2. Take the largest piece from each tray.
    3. Break it in half.
    4. Place it on your tongue.
    5. If you feel any ice crystals in the center, your food needs more dry time. Simply put the trays back in, close the door and drain valve, and select "MORE DRY TIME".
  • No rush to unload!

Your freeze dryer will keep your batch preserved until you’re ready to take it out. The refrigeration system will keep running to prevent ice on the chamber walls from melting and rehydrating your food. Depending on your End-Batch Options, heat and/or vacuum may also continue during this stage.

  • Check dryness before exiting.

Make sure to test your food’s dryness before leaving the Process Complete stage. This way, you can easily add more dry time if needed.

  • The machine is waiting for your next step.

Choose what you’d like to do next using the options on the screen.

Using the "WARM TRAYS" Option

If your trays are very cold, you can warm them up for easier handling and to prevent condensation.

Just tap the "WARM TRAYS" button at the top of the screen. The shelf heaters will warm the trays to the temperature shown on the button and hold that temperature for the set time in your End-Batch Options.

Vacuum Controls

If the vacuum pump is set to “On” in your End-Batch Options, you’ll see a Vacuum Controls button. Tap this to turn the vacuum pump off before opening the drain valve.
