VACUUM PUMPS

A Harvest Right Industrial Vacuum Pump is included with every freeze dryer. Because the oil only needs to be changed every 30-40 batches, it requires far less maintenance than vacuum pumps sold by Blue Alpine or other vendors. Their pumps need to have the oil changed every 5 to 10 batches. Harvest Right’s vacuum pump is worth $1,000more than the pumps that Blue Alpine and other vendors include with their freeze dryers. Harvest Right vacuum pumps are also very quiet compared to those of any other company. Quiet is important for home appliances.

refrigerant

Harvest Right uses a powerful, non-flammable refrigerant for cooling the food. It gets up to 25 degrees colder than the refrigerant used by Blue Alpine. This is important because it will help the freeze dried food to turn out better. This is especially important for foods with a lot of sugar and salt as they require lower temperatures to freeze.

Blue Alpine uses a flammable refrigerant that can be dangerous if there is a leak. They are required to place a large warning sign on the back of their freeze dryers.

Harvest Right’s freeze dryer is smart. It automatically senses how cold to freeze and how much heat needs to be used to dry all types of food. Other vendors such as Blue Alpine use a timed process for freezing and drying that may be too short or too long and may use too little or too much heat. Because of Harvest Right’s smart computer technology, the food turns out perfect every time.

Harvest Right’s freeze dryer is much quieter than Blue Alpine’s. As a result, it can be placed in living areas because it won’t bother people.

Harvest Right has over 6,000 support technicians located throughout the United States who can come to your home if there is a serious problem. Help is always just a phone call away. This isn’t possible with Blue Alpine. If you have a serious problem with that unit, you will have to figure out a way to pack up a 115 lb. unit along with a 35 lb. vacuum pump and send it back to Blue Alpine.

Plus, Harvest Right includes an industrial vacuum pump that is worth $1000 more than the one included with Blue Alpine.

Additionally, Harvest Right’s large freeze dryer is $1000 less than Blue Alpine’s unit and it also includes an industrial vacuum pump ($1000 value) at no extra charge.

Harvest Right’s Small freeze dryer sells for $1795 and has nearly the same capacity as Blue Alpine’s medium unit that costs $3095. This is a $1,300 difference.
