We bring our freeze-dried foods boating, hiking, camping, to festivals, etc. We are a family of 5. Life is easy when everyone can pick out their own meals.
Since purchasing our freeze dryer, I focused on one-dish meals for our summer in the 5th wheel. I can’t tell you how lovely it was to work a hard day, then be able to eat a fabulous meal with hardly any effort and very little cleanup! We will be doing much more in the future.
I got mine for backcountry meals, meals for my hubby who spends a lot of time in hotel rooms, convenient meals for my parents, meals to go overseas ... Long-term storage is also on my list, but, trying to get short-term needs covered first.
